There are currently 3 firewall routers there yes, 2 IP330s and a Watchguard Firebox II.   The wireless is there just to provide connectivity to other computers in the house, not really doing any routing per say..   Only one of the IP330s 'lives' here full time.. The other is used for site to site VPN to allow me to fix problems back here that my parents are having and to give me secure access to the servers.

Yeah I built the rack.. There is a site out there detailing how to do it.. I will see if I can find it later tonight or tomorrow..  If I remember correctly it was > $50 and took about 2 hours to make.

Wow swimmer, for 1 laptop did you really need a 20 odd 1Gb switch???

Right now i am currently working for network ops at CFB/CFTC Gagetown and the network is amazing and really fun to work with XD.

my network consists of 1 wi-fi 4 odd router, that links to a 8 odd router and i have a 5 odd router in my room. all at 100Mbit... no need for Gb

I have two laptops, one wired PC and one win 2003 server that i have setup as a file server with 1TB of storage and all systems are set to automatic weekly backups to the server.  the laptops have vista buisness and the wired PC has vista ultimate loaded.  My router is the Dlink DGL 430 gigbit wireless gaming router along with a 8 port gigbit switch. the switch connects the server and my PC.  working on setting up a WAN with some of my friends with there servers as well so we will basically have network of our own for shareing files, printers and other things that we see fit.
