I just realized today that I have lost much of my apetite for computer gaming since I got married. I think I just stopped having enough solo downtime. Nowadays I have a NDS that I carry pretty much everywhere, so if I have free time (Dr. office, public transportation, whatever) I pull that out and play.

Anyone else have certain factors that affect when and how much they play?

Well, work is definitely one of my main factors, though how much money I have to spend on the new releases is another--if the games are too much, I'm likely to focus more on another system.  Poor college student/business owner does not make for easy spending on games, I fear.
